Job Description :

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 driver (s)for a palletised goods transport company based in Castle Donington, Derby.

The role involves multi-drop pallet deliveries using curtain-side or box trailers, with pump trolleys provided for manual unloading where required. Some deliveries may also be forklift-assisted.

The operation runs seven days a week, and flexibility with shift availability is desirable. All drivers are guaranteed a minimum of 8 paid hours per shift, regardless of completion time.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct daily vehicle checks before and after each shift, reporting any faults immediately
• Ensure all loads are securely fastened and compliant with transport safety standards
• Accurately follow scheduled delivery routes and timeframes
• Operate a pump truck safely when manual unloading is required
• Adhere to tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations
• Communicate effectively with the client and REC Source regarding any issues, delays, or discrepancies
• Deliver excellent service while representing our brand professionally on the road and at client sites

Requirements :

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1 driver) licence, held for at least 12 months
• Proven experience of at least 1 year in Class 1 multi-drop driving
• No more than 3 penalty points (minor offences only; no DR or IN codes)
• A valid Driver CPC card and digital tachograph card, both issued in the UK
• Confident in handling palletised goods using a pump truck or supporting forklift-assisted deliveries
• A professional, courteous approach to communication and customer interaction

PAYE:

Monday to Friday Day= £16.00

Saturday Day= £17.50

Sunday Day= £17.50

Monday to Friday Night= £17.50

UMBRELLA:

Monday to FridayDay£20.00

Saturday Day= £21.88

Sunday Day= £21.88

Monday to Friday Night= £21.88

LTD Rates:

Monday to Friday Day= £18.50

Saturday Day= £20.00

Sunday Day= £20.00

Monday to Friday Night= £20.00
