To Mentor and develop other members of the Planning team and to undertake high level review of other Planners work. \n\nResponsibilities of a Senior Planner\n\n* Produce fully linked Project Programme for Site, Tender or Pre-qualification purposes to identify critical path, float, risk and opportunity. Ensuring full consideration is given to all restrictions including client and third party approvals and is produced with pre-construction, design and procurement programmes as required\n\n* Instigate and undertake what-if scenarios and report their projected outcomes\n\n* Collaborate with other company staff to ensure that works are planned and organised.\n\n* Determine the requirements for Site set-up and independently prepare phasing, logistics and timeslices along with associated methodology/narratives as required by the tender deliverables\n\n* Prepare and analyse scaffold, temporary services, crane enquiries, quotations and the like\n\n* Identify requirements for temporary works and liaise with temporary works coordinator on site.
At tender stage liaise with temp works department to obtain design and costings\n\n* Obtain quotes for 4D construction simulation and liaise with specialist to produce simulations for tenders/interviews\n\n* At tender stage liaise with Estimating Team to ensure all attendances are priced (not duplicated) and checks are made to ensure s/c's have included for MEWP's, craneage, lifting plant etc.\n\n* Develop the Programme and supporting documents in line with the form of Contract\n\n* Implement the agreed change control process that takes full account of the contract requirements and communicates these requirements across team.\n\n* Work with the supply chain to establish effective relationships and ensure continuous improvement in delivering productivity\n\n* Actively target opportunities to exceed customer expectations\n\n* Actively participate in knowledge share events\n\n* Contribute to the planning input into the PEP documentation, client specific documents etc.\n\n* Work with the commercial team to ensure effective management of Total Costs\n\n* Understand business need for positive cash flow and plan works accordingly\n\n* Train, develop and mentor Junior members of planning team in basics of planning and programming\n\n* Undertake high level technical appraisal of other Planners work\n\nBenefits for a Senior Planner\n\nSalary up to £80k + Car Allowance or Company Car\nPrivate Healthcare\nCompetitive Pension Scheme\nGenerous Annual Leave\nClear Career Progression \n\nPlease send your CV to (url removed) or call Sheffield office on (phone number removed) and ask for Alex
