The Role

We are hiring a Software Engineer to aid the design, build and maintenance of our market data environment and associated analytics. This hands-on position will attract those who are interested in working with complex architectures and are keen to apply their problem-solving skills in a practical setting.

The successful candidate will work alongside Pricing Quants and Risk Strats to productionise financial markets data and follow a proactive approach to service enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  Develop, support and productionise data and analytics which are integral to TradingHub's products

• \n

  Enhance your understanding of financial markets and how market data is used within our key products

  \n
\n
• \n

  Contribute to new tools development for the purposes of data lineage, governance and reporting

  \n
\n
• \n

  Research of data storage techniques and processing for large data sets

  \n
\n
• \n

  Utilise our in-house big data language for large-scale modelling and analysis

  \n
\n
• \n

  Collaborate with internal stakeholders to solve and understand critical production issues

  \n
\n

Requirements

\n
• \n

  Industry software engineering experience, preferably within financial services

  \n
\n
• \n

  Proficient with C#, Python, Java or similar

  \n
\n
• \n

  Good knowledge of database design and data structures

  \n
\n
• \n

  Proficiency with SQL-related technologies

  \n
\n
• \n

  Knowledge of AWS such as ECS, S3, DynamoDB is desirable

  \n
\n
• \n

  Evidence of exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  \n
\n
• \n

  High attention to detail and keen to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously

  \n
\n
• \n

  Proactive and curious mindset, with accountability as a core personal value
